Easy Pulled Pork Sliders with an Asian Style Slaw

Easy Pulled Pork Sliders

These easy pulled pork sliders have an Asian flair to them that makes them delectable. Coked with some sweet hoisin sauce and some salty flavorful soy sauce, this pork turns out tender and juicy. Always easy to make a great dinner in the crockpot.

Sometimes the usual pulled pork just does not do it for me, so I decided to explore other options. You can season your pork with just about anything and find a slaw that will pair with it well. I don’t think I will ever make a regular pulled pork slider ever again.

I have even experimented with pulled chicken using a green apple slaw which was amazing. You can slow cook and shred beef, chicken, and pork to make these types of sandwiches. Go nuts1 Explore your tastes to see what you like.

What You are Going to Need

You definitely need a good cock pot that will hold a 2 to 2.5 pound pork shoulder roast. I say this because do own one of those little crock pots that just won’t cut it for this. Who knew there would come a time in life when you need multiple sized crock pots?

Once you gather a few simple ingredients such as garlic, honey, soy sauce, and brown sugar that I typically keep on hand you may need to check for the rest. Sesame oil, hoisin sauce and rice wine are not typical in most pantries. At least mot grocery stores will have these in the Asian food section.

Simple mix up the ingredients and pour them over the pork in the crock pot and you are ready to let it cook itself. Just set the timer to 4 hours if you are cooking on high and to 6 hours if you are cooking on low. Shred it up and make some delicious sliders for dinner.

Serving Suggestions

Don’t forget the wonderful Asian Style Slaw that goes with this pork. The combination of flavors is like a party in your mouth. The tang from the slaw and the decadence from the pork, amazing combination.

Don’t stick to just normal hamburger buns, get creative with that too! Pretzel buns a different twist here as are hoagie rolls. My favorite is some good crusty rolls fresh from the bakery. A good flaky crust is great on any pulled pork sandwich.

You don’t really need too many sides for this one as it is a full meal by itself. You have your carbs, your vegetable, and your meat all in one. A Good potato salad will go well with this dish, or to keep with the Asian inspired flavor try some rice or noodles.
